EEConf 2021 Winners
We are so chuffed to have won two awards at the annual EEConf 2021 conference. The event for the ExpressionEngine CMS community was held virtually on September 29 and October 1. Attendees were treated to business case, web accessibility, e-commerce, and development presentations, and there were plenty of opportunities to connect with EE community members. In fact, Alex Brabant of eMarketing101 and I put together a talk about search engine marketing you might be interested in: Google Ads Demystified: A Conversation about Search Engine Marketing.
Each year as part of the conference, there is competition for awards in several categories: Best Client EE website, Best Non-Profit EE website, Best Self-Promotion website, and Best Add-on. The competition was stiff this year! We submitted entries for Best Client EE website and Best Add-on.
And we won!
The Volaris Group website
For Best Client EE website, the winner was the website for Volaris Group. Volaris Group is in the business of acquiring and growing vertical market software companies. We got to help their internal team negotiate some very tricky optimization and clean up, including migrating sites out of Multiple Site Manager, while also upgrading and doing a deep clean of ExpressionEngine. This gorgeous site is a great example of the power and flexibility ExpressionEngine offers.
We also won the category for Best Add-on! This was for our newest creation, Hop Data Juggler! This add-on is a developer’s dream, as it lets you migrate data from field to field without having to delve into SQL queries and heavy duty database manipulation. It’s a huge time-saver, but we’re particularly excited about the fact that the tool can be used by folks who — though still technical — don’t have to be database experts to use it. Interested?
