As her Blue Moon Fiber Arts sock knitting empire continues to grow, Tina Newton has decided to throw her energies into The Greatest Sock Knitting Show on Earth! The event, Sock Summit 2009, will take place next August, but Tina wanted a website in the works to begin generating buzz right away. The current version of the site is a first phase to allow interested teachers, exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees to sign up for updates and registration information as it comes available.
The relatively simple site is built in ExpressionEngine, which will allow us to integrate more content, from registration to a blog, as the event gets nearer. The design incorporates detail photos of knitted socks in a range of spring-like greens.
We’re excited about the site, and about going to the event!
