Our Work

The Anglican Diocese of Singapore

Overview

Client Since
June 2017

The Anglican Diocese of Singapore consists of 27 parishes in Singapore and six deaneries in the Asian region. The diocese is involved with educational, medical, social and religious efforts across Southeast Asia.

St. Andrew’s Cathedral is the cathedral church of the diocese—and its website is the model for the diocese’s.

Services Provided

In 2016, the vicar of St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Terry Wong, worked with us to redesign the cathedral’s website. In 2017, we worked together to leverage the design and code of the cathedral website for use by the Anglican Diocese of Singapore. We began by cloning the look, templates, and ExpressionEngine setup of the cathedral website.

In order to give the diocese its own design, we built in custom variables to allow us to quickly and easily update the colors, logos, and graphics to fit the diocese’s palette, and with a view to repeating the process later for other churches and organizations. Many of the features of the cathedral site are carried over and used here as well—the cathedral’s Courier Online blog was the basis for the diocese’s blog, Digest Online; audio sermons are available to download; and visitors can also browse upcoming events.

The project has produced an attractive, functional and easy-to-update site that serves the many Anglican clergy and congregations of the region in one convenient online presence.

Testimonial

The Hop Studio designers were flexible and we love being able to leverage an earlier project. We have confidence that they have the expertise to continue to help us improve this site and add useful features in future.
