Hop Studios performed a WordPress upgrade and helped rebrand the website with a new logo, fonts, and colours.

Riveo Creative reached out to Hop Studios in 2025 on behalf of their client Athena Marketing International (AMI), looking for immediate help upgrading AMI’s WordPress CMS and rebranding the website with new logo, fonts, and colours. We love helping businesses refresh their websites inside and out, so we were excited to improve both the front and back end of AMI’s site.
AMI is a marketing agency that helps North American food and beverage companies expand their businesses internationally, boosting global sales and brand exposure. Their website is a key part of what they do; it promotes the range of their services, showcases clients, and keeps people updated on news and events. For any company like AMI dealing with clients across a wide geographical range, it’s crucial that their site clearly communicates their value and expertise while being easy to navigate.
AMI’s WordPress CMS core was already up to date, but they needed some attention to their themes, PHP version, and several plugins. We upgraded PHP for better performance, security, and compatibility with modern plugins and themes. We also updated their WordPress theme to the latest version to reduce the chance of bugs or glitches that can occur with older versions.
On top of that, we updated several key plugins—Advanced Custom Fields, Google Analytics, Sucuri Security, and Yoast—and removed some unnecessary ones, clearly held over from prior work. These updates strengthened the site’s stability and security while boosting overall functionality and performance.
To make sure any development work could be done and tested safely without affecting the live site, we set up a dedicated staging environment. This gave us a secure space to test our work, let them try out new features, and preview design changes without any risk to appearing disheveled to the public. It also gives AMI a protected place to review and train before anything goes live. Using a staging site minimizes the risk of errors and downtime while making collaboration and approval way smoother; every site should have one.
With the staging site ready, Riveo Creative directed the refresh of AMI’s visual identity. They had a new logo, fonts, and colours that gave the business a fresh and modern look. We added the company’s full name next to the logo on desktop and created a mobile-friendly version that sits below the logo for clarity. The brand colours were updated to include Persian Indigo and Island Green, which brought a bold, cohesive feel across the site. We switched the fonts to Rubik SemiBold for a clean, contemporary look. Throughout the refresh, we made sure there was enough colour contrast to keep everything accessible and easy to read.
Finally, we improved user engagement by adding more calls-to-action (CTAs) throughout the site, directing visitors to the contact form. Now, no matter which page someone lands on, they have a clear and easy way to get in touch with the AMI team. By placing these CTAs strategically, we made it simpler for potential clients to reach out and start a conversation.
