eStandardSolutions offers Inspectors, Facilities, Consignors and Tank Owners a resource to help eliminate costly mistakes by harnessing the power of the Internet to streamline inspection documentation requirements and grant access to data – anytime, from anywhere.

Hop Studios has assisted eStandardSolutions with improving the functionality of their website. We have revamped their member dashboard to enhance user experience and improve their extensive database of reports.

Services Provided

Dedicated to helping Transport Canada Registered facilities, eStandardSolutions caters to the niche highway tank industry—providing a tool to inspect, test and repair tanks. When they came to Hop Studios in April 2021, they wanted to improve the functionality of their site and make it easier for their members to create, save, and print reports to maintain legal compliance.

Jerry Lennox, the owner, previously worked as a regulator with the government. Upon leaving that position, he knew there was a need for a more streamlined process for tank owners and inspectors to access and create reports. As eStandardSolutions’ data grew, they needed a website to keep up with its expansion.

Hop Studios was tasked with improving the site’s user experience and functionality, particularly the member dashboard. It all started with an upgrade of the SilverStripe CMS. A modernizing upgrade of SilverStripe to version 4 improved site performance, enhanced security, and allowed for a more user-friendly experience.

To improve the user experience, we integrated a Mailgun subscription into the site, which streamlined the sending of reports and notifications to members. We also replaced the previous third-party PDF service with internal functionality, ensuring enhanced security for records and member information.

Several new reports were created and existing ones were upgraded, with a focus on efficient saving and printing, and ensuring legal compliance. These reports included the Certificate of Compliance, Structural Inspection, Tank Data, Inspection and Test Log, and Leakage Test.

With a wealth of big ideas for the future and a strong commitment to make it easier for transport carriers to register their containers, uphold safety, and stay compliant, Hop Studios is excited to see how eStandardSolutions evolves, and we’re happy to be along for the ride.
