Digital Media Law is the website of the Law Offices of Michael S. Overing. The firm represents clients across a wide range of areas, including business, real estate, and constructions; contracts; fine arts; first amendment, censorship, defamation, and privacy; social media; strategic communications; and trusts & estates.
We worked with Michael Overing to develop his first website way back in 2005, and were lucky enough to help him redesign it and move it into a content management system in 2018.
Services Provided
The Digital Media Law site is intended to function primarily as a business card—a quick way for a potential client to grasp the expertise of the firm and make the decision to contact them, and something for opposing counsel to take note of. Michael’s goal with the website redesign was to really highlight the firm’s areas of practice in a high energy, visually crisp format. Text on the home page is kept to a minimum, and the site was designed to fill the entire browser window, however large it might be. A rotating carousel on the home page lets visitors quickly browse to the topic of most interest to them.
On the backend, we set up the site in a content management system so that updates and new content are easier for the firm to manage. In the near future, the firm will also add video insights to the site, providing useful content in a more dynamic format. A search feature has also been added to the site to help visitors find what they are looking for as speedily as possible.
